Chocolate Chip Dutch Baby Pancake
When I posted my recipe for Mini Dutch Babies, I had some of you ask about the regular-sized version, so here you go: a Chocolate Chip Dutch Baby Pancake
So simple and suuuper delicious, this is a stress-free and FUN option for feeding a group.
Even better?
Bulk up the breakfast table by adding a variety of fresh fruits to enjoy on the side.
here’s what you’ll need
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
3 eggs
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
a pinch of salt
2 tbsp butter
mini chocolate chips
powdered sugar
here’s what you’ll need to do
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Whisk together flour, milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt in a mixing bowl.
Set aside.
Melt butter in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Once melted, coat the sides and bottom of the pan before adding your batter.
Mix in as many chocolate chips as you’d like, knowing there’s a pretty good chance they’ll probably sink to the bottom of the pan - but I personally like the chocolatey layer you get when this happens.
Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
Serve warm, cut into wedges and dusted with powdered sugar.
YUM.
