There is nothing in this world like sinking your teeth into a cheesy and delicious Deep Fried Ravioli.
Creamy and warm on the inside, while crisp and flavorful outside – these quick and easy treats are guaranteed to please any crowd, OR keep you company during a cozy night with kicked up feet.
here’s what you’ll need
cheese raviolis
1.5 cup flour
1.5 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
3 eggs
splash of milk
canola oil
salt
pepper
here’s what you’ll need to do
Dump flour in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Whisk eggs with a splash of milk in another bowl.
Put panko, parmesan and Italian seasoning in another bowl, with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to incorporate.
Dredge room temperature raviolis in flour, then egg, then panko and set aside.
Repeat until all raviolis have been breaded.
Pro Tip: Avoid the breading ‘glove’ by dedicating one hand for dry ingredients and one hand for wet.
Or just go all in and have a little fun with it.
Over medium heat, CAREFULLY heat a couple inches of oil in a heavy, deep-sided pot (like a Dutch Oven) until it reaches about 325 degrees.
Working in batches, add raviolis to the oil and fry for just a couple minutes, until golden and delicious.
CAREFULLY remove your raviolis from the HOT oil using tongs and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
Season generously with salt and pepper.
Repeat until all of your raviolis are fried.
Garnish with chives, chopped parsley or micro greens, and serve with a side of ricotta, burrata, marinara, pesto or a drizzle of reduced balsamic, if you like.
Enjoy!
