Recipe for a Mountain Top Picnic
And just like that, temps have dropped back into the low 40s in Montana - so I’m putting this joyful and sun-filled memory from the weekend on our website to live permanently.
As a reminder.
That for one very brief moment, there was summer. 😂
Juuust kidding. I’m actually putting it on here in hopes of inspiring YOU to have your own mountain top picnic.
Woo hoo!
here’s what you’ll need
a mountain top with trail access
sunshine, optional but encouraged
shoes with good traction
comfy clothes (most anything besides jeans will do)
a lightweight backpack, like the Cotopaxi Luzon 18L Del Tia
your favorite snacks
napkins
forks, spoons and otherwise
can koozies
cold bevvies
a hat and/or sunnies
here’s what you’ll need to do
Get dressed in something cozy, breathable and cute (optional).
Layers are highly recommended, too.
Fill your backpack with awesome snacks.
This weekend we went with little pizza flatbreads that were brushed with melted butter and generously sprinkled with Maldon salt and fresh cracked pepper, a side of pesto, and a gang of cured meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits and pistachios.
Oh, and of course there was chocolate, too.
Now throw in your napkins and utensils, along with a cold bevy in a soft can koozie.
The older and crustier the koozie, the better.
Obviously.
Lace up your favorite hikers (we LOVE the Hoka Speedgoats) and take your happy hiney to the trail.
Frolic among the flowers until you reach the top of the mountain.
Unpack your beautiful spread, and enjoy!
Oh, and always remember to pah-lease leave no trace.
Yay! Thank youuu.
