Island inspired in the PNW

Tucked away in Ballard, you’d drive right by Un Bien if it weren’t for the line around the block and the building painted bright pink.

Serving up fresh and flavorful island-inspired fare, their Caribbean menu rocks locally-sourced ingredients and makes all of their famous sauces, stocks and marinades in house.

Inhaling my Sautéed Tiger Prawn Sandwich, I couldn’t help but drool as the rest of my party gobbled up what they’re really known for: tender slow-roasted pork – found in the Caribbean Roast Sandwich and the Press, which I’ll definitely be ordering next.

Word on the street: the Chicken slaps, too.

Not in the mood for a sandwich?

Spring for a side of their critically-acclaimed black beans and jasmine rice, or dive into one of their thoughtfully crafted entrees, like the pan-seared Sea Scallops or Fish of the Day in Red Sauce.

Two locations in Seattle, both beautifully bright pink.
