Skincare Products for Breakouts

As a licensed Esthetician, I tend to have my skincare pretty dialed.

I mean, I definitely have some wrinkly bits, but as an expressive outdoorsy woman with thin skin in her mid-40s, that’s to be expected.

But when it comes to breakouts, I tend to be pretty predictable with hormonal blemishes that really only come and go on schedule.

Cue our recent extended stay in Hawaii, where everything I knew about my skin went *poof* out the window.

After a bit of trial and error, I realized that all my skin needed (aside from SPF) was that beautiful ocean air and salt water to keep it clean, hydrated and glowing.

Three weeks we’ve been home, and I’m STILL breaking out as we readjust to, well… everything.

My skin no longer likes to be cleansed with the gentle product I’ve used for ages, and my multiple levels of hydration are no contest for this high desert climate – not to mention the fact that my makeup routine is close to non-existent these days.

So while I go back to the drawing board and figure out what products are right for me now, I’m thankful for the Holy Grails that I turn to when my skin seems to be a bit off.

Always do research prior to purchasing any recommended products to see if they’re right for you and your skincare needs.
